Earlier this year, I was contacted by an old friend looking for a special quilt for her daughter based on their black schnauzer, Lizzy. I don’t typically sell quilts but really wanted to do this one for my friend so I started playing around.

And finally landed on this design.

With the one single black Schnauzer going the other way.

The fabrics I used are Authentic by Sweetwater for Moda and the backing, a Kona gray. For the life of me, I cannot find my receipt so I can’t tell you which gray but maybe steel?

I quilted it with an all over pattern with loops and hearts.

I’m so happy with how it turned out and I got a message and photo the other day of it being used and loved, which is always the best!
